Merlin G
Maritime Solutions recently were appointed as UK agents by the new owners of the Merlin g. Over a ten day period from date of purchase a fast and efficient plan had to be worked out to move the Merlin G from Portsmouth to Rotterdam for a drydocking slot. The new owners will be completing a major refit and upgrade to Merlin G. In the short time frame change of ownership on UK register was completed and other ships papers also sorted, crew arranged, bunker taken and all other preparations for the passage to Rotterdam completed to meet the owners deadline for departure.
The passage was fortunate to have a small weather window between storms which made for a smooth crossing which was unusual for the time of year.

Sea Trident
Another busy time here at Maritime Solutions. We have been working as UK agents with the new owners of the Sea Trident to make her ready for passage by tow the Rotterdam.
Our role has involved dealing with the UK Ship Registry and MCGA to obtain an International Load Line Exemption for the passage. The new owners are dry docking the ship in preparation for putting back into class for re-sale.

Hopper Barges destined for ML Dredging
Maritime Solutions again have had great success in selling these two drop bottom hopper barges that were located in Southern Ireland and transported back by road to the UK for the new owners ML Dredging of Portsmouth. They will undergo a refit before they are put to work on a local contract they have secured for the barges. The barges are are 18m long and ideal for hard to access areas in smaller marinas and inland waterways. Being road transportable makes then highly versatile. We wish ML Dredging ever success with this addition to there fleet of dredgers, barges and workboats
Maritime Solutions are again involved with the sale of another barge that will have a new life. The accommodation barge was formerly used in the dockyard at Portsmouth for many years. Once released from service, the new owners put it up for sale. Maritime Solutions was chosen to be the sole agent for this unusual barge, as we have a reputation for selling and sourcing one off marine items worldwide.
The barge will find a new home at Canary Wharf and it's new owners, Ballymore Homes, plan on completing an extensive re-fit of the accommodation block to suit their site needs. Having identified that London's space is at a premium, the barge provides a very viable alternative option to renting office space whilst their development is carried out.
The project in Canary wharf is expected to last four years . After this Ballymore homes plan to use the Accommodation barge on other projects..
Maritime solutions is having another summer of success in project managing export projects for our customers. TC Bustler formerly the SD Bustler originally built for the British government as a multi purpose coastal tug, which has seen much service over the years.
This included handling of such Naval Ships as the aircraft carrier Arc Royal.
The picture shows TC Bustler departing Portsmouth on route for Cameroon and Bunkering at Dakar. The new owners Fairway Marine have completed a major overall and dry-docking and complete re-painting of the tug before departure which Maritime Solutions project managed for them.
This included the dry docking and all associated works that were carried out, even down to the bunker, rations and a delivery crew to Dakar. At Maritime solutions we like to be able to provide a complete service for our overseas customers for purchase to departure, at a realistic price.
Fairway Marine of Cameroon
Maritime Solutions have been engaged by Fairway Marine of Cameroon to act as agent for the dry docking and all works to be carried out on the tug Bustler which Fairway marine recently purchased. The tug is undergoing a full paint of the hull and superstructure to change to the company colours of Fairway Marine.
Queen Esther Motorised Barge and the Cameroons
Maritime solutions were the agent that the owners of a 49m barge Queen Esther appointed to prepare the barge for its passage to Cameroon. The barge has recently left UK.
